Hannah Craft
Treasurer
Hannah Craft — I am a survivor of domestic violence.
For six years, I lived in a home marked by mental and physical abuse. When I finally found the strength to leave, I spent the next three years rebuilding my life — learning how to stand again, how to trust again, and how to believe that peace was possible.
What carried me through that long road of healing was the support I received from family, friends, and most importantly, a community support system I didn’t even know existed. Those resources, that compassion, and those safe spaces quite literally saved my life.
I joined the board of Safe Harbor Clarendon because what this organization provides to our community is exactly what helped save me. Through my journey, I learned that the bridge between survivors and available resources is often broken or unclear. Too many people are suffering in silence simply because they don’t know where to turn or who they can trust.
I am here to help mend those gaps.
I am here to help rebuild trust.
I am here to share my story so that others walking that difficult road know they are not alone.
We do not have to continue suffering in silence.
If you are hurting, if you are unsure where to go next, please know this: I have been there — and there is a way out. There is hope, there is help, and there is a community ready to walk beside you

Stephanie Amerson
Assistant Director
Stephanie is a devoted wife, proud mother of two boys, successful business owner, and passionate community advocate whose heart for others shapes every part of her journey.
As the owner of her downtown salon, Stephanie created more than a place for beauty — she built a safe space. Behind the chair, she listens to the good, the bad, and the ugly. Her clients trust her not only with their hair, but with their deepest struggles. Through countless conversations, she began to recognize how many women were silently living in domestic violence situations — wanting out, but unsure if they had the support or courage to take that step.
Those stories changed her life.
Owning her salon was a major milestone, one she worked hard to achieve. But her purpose grew even stronger when she joined the team at Safe Harbor Clarendon, where she now serves as the Assistant Executive Director. What began as listening and offering encouragement in her salon has grown into leadership and advocacy for survivors across her community.
Stephanie chose to be part of this amazing organization because she believes no one should feel trapped or alone. She has seen firsthand that many victims simply need to know someone believes them — someone is willing to stand beside them. She wants every person experiencing domestic violence to know: you can get out. You can rebuild. There is support waiting for you.
Her heart is rooted in compassion and action. Whether she is helping through her salon, leading initiatives at Safe Harbor Clarendon, or offering a listening ear, Stephanie is committed to helping in any way she can. She believes that support systems save lives — and she works every day to be part of that support.
Above all, Stephanie leads with love — love for her family, love for her community, and love for those who need strength when they feel they have none left.
Her message is powerful and unwavering:
You are not alone.
You are stronger than you think.
And there is always a way out — with the right support beside you.
